1) This is a reminder not to cross-post or link to works anywhere else until AFTER creator reveals (17th June). Please preserve your anonymity.

2) Please comment on your gifts! It can be discouraging to creators when their recipient does not respond at all to something made especially for them. If you don't have the spoons or time for a longer response, a simple 'thank you for making this' will go a long way. It will let your creator know that you at least saw (and hopefully appreciated) their effort. You can edit / comment again later to elaborate, but the main thing is that you do comment, not just kudos. Kudos is not enough in this situation.

BINGO GAME (Optional)

The folks on the PoI Discord chatroom came up with an idea to help encourage commenting on works, and also make a fun game out of the fact that all works will remain anonymous for a week.

If you'd like to play, leave a comment on this post (or in our tumblr inbox) to sign-up. You'll get a bingo card which is a 5x5 grid of 24 linked work titles, from the exchange collection. The objective is to fill out a line of adjacent squares on the card by commenting on them and (perhaps) guessing who created those works.

You can just play to comment if you'd rather not guess. However, please don't only comment to guess the creator's identity and fail to leave meaningful feedback as well.

If you're guessing, you have one week to get your comments in. Creator reveals will happen on the 17th June. After reveals, you'll be able to check your comments against the creator's name and see how you did. This will be self-reporting and rely on honesty. You'll leave a comment on the wrap-up post (coming on the 17th) saying how many creators you guessed correctly. Obviously, don't edit your AO3 comments after creator reveals. That would be cheating.

If you're not guessing, there's no time limit on finishing your bingo card. But if you want to comment back on the wrap-up post and announce you made a bingo, please do.

All players: Each card will have a YOUR GIFT square in the middle instead of a FREE SPACE square. Always start with your gift(s). That MUST be the first square you fill in. If you want to incorporate the 'your gift' square into a line, go for it. if you want to fill in the 'your gift' square and then complete a line somewhere else on your card, that's absolutely fine too. If you want to do a blackout (25 comments), go for it, you superhero!

All creators: If you get a comment which contains a guess, don't rush to confirm or deny. Please let other players agree with or second guess that suggestion. Any comments you make on your own work (while signed in) will be anonymous until creator reveals on the 17th June, after which your comments will have your name on. Comments you make on works by other people will not be anonymous.

"I only want to consume fanworks of [x] pairing/character/rating."

Please mention any restrictions when you sign-up. Pairing specific requests (e.g. only Rinch, only Shoot) will result in smaller cards (2x2 grid, not 5x5 grid), as there aren't enough works in each category to fill out a full size card. If you opt for a 2x2 grid, completing a bingo will mean leaving a comment on all four of those works.

If you don't specify, your card will contain a random selection from ALL the works in the collection. This may contain things you don't ship/genres which aren't your favourite. On the other hand, the benefit of the non-restricted card is, you might discover things you didn't know you would like, or would otherwise maybe not see.

Read the tags and rating of each work on your card carefully. Don't force yourself to view and comment on something that makes you uncomfortable for the sake of a bingo card.

Remember, this is just for fun and absolutely optional. If you'd rather simply explore the collection of new PoI fanworks at your own pace and without this extra structure, please do that. :)
