Hello, all the wonderful participants of Poi-BigBang.

We are extremely ecstatic to have all of you participating, and are sooo looking forward to November and all of the wonderful fics and artworks being posted. That being said, it's check in time.

You don't need to show us any progress, and nothing is due just yet (you still have a whole month for that). All you have to do is comment on this post and tell us how you're doing, and if you are your author/artist are communicating, and let us know of any problems if there are any. 

Think of it as a... *Hey, I'm alive" post.

Check in as the artist: I am drawing for two fics, Mer!AU by Ravenwhitecastle and Jag!Au by kakushigo. Both are wonderful and inspiring, and I have... started... art for them. It still has a long way to go, but its GOING. So there's that.

Check in as a writer: I'm struggling, but it will happen. Eventually. Hopefully. Let's see.

Good news: I made 10,000 words!

Bad news: My fic is only like half done.

Hopeful news: Things are going smoothly and I'm on track to have the rest of the fic done in time.

Great news: My artist has been sending me progress pics and they're <3

As a writer, my fic is almost done. I just need to polish the ending, which I'll do as soon as I find enough time to seat down and finish it.

As an artist, I've finished one assignement (unless my writer wants me to tweek it a bit) and... I haven't started the second one, but I have ideas! :-)

I've done some research on costumes for the characters and started a reference sheet. Saved loads of lovely pics of sexy guys in Chinese clothing as inspiration *g*

Kakushigo checking in! Still working on my story and it'll definitely be done in time. I've talked to my artist (The wonderful michaelsswOrd XD) and I love working with them. The picture they've made for me is spectacular.

Still alive. Hoping to have full draft completed within the next week. Haven't been in contact with my artist yet.

Check in as an artist: I have drafts of both!... which still have quite a lot of tweaking and such to do, but coming along and communicating with writers about (the fics are SO GOOD there are just so many great ways to go!)

Check in as a writer: I have the right word count but soooooo much more to go. I am determined and optimistic though and my artist has made something so fantastic I’m doubly invigorated to keep going!

Writer check in: I'm fine, I've got my draft essentially done. I thought I might write an epilogue or coda of some sort? But if I don't get that written, I'm in good shape without it. I've made contact with my artist and talked about the fic etc. It's all good!

Art check in: I've spoken with my writer, and I've started work on the art.

Haven't gotten much done why September WHY but I'm ready to catch up!
As a writer I have sorted out most of the plot, will start to put them into words soon.
As an artist I have finished reading the fic and talked with the writer. Have some scene to gif in mind!
